about_the_club_image

Slazenger sports and Social Club is a multi-sport facility based on the outskirts of Horbury, Wakefield. It has existed since the 1940’s and since then has served the local community with high grade sports facilities.

The club has a long an illustrious history, first as the sports and social venue for workers of the local Slazenger factory; from where it gets its name. Since the 1980’s though, it has operated as a totally independent club, operated by members for members and the local community.

The site has developed over that time and now offers turf pitches, synthetic all weather sports surfaces and a crown green. The club also has a fully-licensed Bar, Lounge, Conservatory and Function Room. So whether it’s relaxing after competing or a game of tennis, or having a quiet drink in a relaxing environment, Slazenger’s is a great place to be.
