Perched on the edge of the Calder valley, overlooking the Calder and Hebble navigation and just off the A642 (within minutes from the M1), the Club is perfectly located for functions of all kinds. Whether you are looking for a party venue or a location for a wedding reception, Slazenger Sports Club is the right place for you. Our clubhouse can easily accommodate up to 100 people (though for certain events this may be restricted). The large beer garden & clubhouse grounds adjacent to the clubhouse itself are well away from main roads and so are perfect for a children’s party, especially throughout the summer months.
Equally, the gardens are secluded and large enough to accommodate all but the biggest of marquees for any large formal event. On top of all this, there’s plenty of room for a bouncy castle!
Clubhouse Function Room
With a fully stocked and licensed bar and large indoor space, it is equally suited to hosting birthday events, receptions or any other large proceedings. The venue can be supplied with or without food for all sized events, with a range of menus to suit.

What is even better is the price. If you wish to provide catering, we charge a flat £50 fee, which includes the use of the kitchen facilities. However, if you hire the room complete with food, the room is free! Also if you wish to use the venue as a location for a local club or community group, then it’s also free!
